NIST Traceable Repair & Calibration Services
Phorad® instruments are supported by comprehensive diagnostic, repair, testing, and calibration services designed to maintain long-term measurement accuracy, reliability, and operational performance. Calibration and verification activities are performed using reference standards and laboratory equipment maintained with traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), providing confidence in measurement integrity for regulated and quality-critical applications.
Factory service is available through our primary laboratory facilities and is supported by a global network of authorized service centers, ensuring consistent service procedures and responsive support across multiple regions.
In addition to servicing Phorad® instruments, our laboratory provides calibration, performance verification, and repair services for a broad range of professional light-measurement equipment. Supported brands include Spectra®, Phorad®, Minolta, Sekonic, Gossen, and other light-measurement instruments requiring NIST-traceable calibration for medical, NDT/QA industrial, and research environments.
Upon completion of service, instruments are supplied with a Certificate of Calibration or Certificate of Compliance. These documents record traceability, environmental conditions, test parameters, and measurement results, making them suitable for professional QA records, regulatory review, and audit documentation.
Spectra Light Laboratories operates under a documented Quality Assurance Program designed to support the needs of manufacturing, calibration laboratories, and scientific research and development environments. The program is structured in accordance with quality-system principles historically established under MIL-STD-45662A and reflects continued efforts toward compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 calibration requirements, with full NIST-traceable calibration support.
