Repair & Calibration

Phorad® instruments are supported by comprehensive repair, testing, and calibration services designed to ensure long-term accuracy, reliability, and performance. Our calibration and test equipment is maintained using standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), providing confidence in measurement results for regulated and quality-critical applications.

Calibration and repair services are available through our factory facilities as well as through a network of authorized service centers worldwide, ensuring timely and consistent support for customers in multiple regions.

In addition to servicing Phorad® instruments, our laboratory also provides repair, calibration, and performance verification services for a wide range of light-measurement instruments, including products manufactured by Spectra®, Phorad®, Minolta, Sekonic, Gossen, and other professional instrument brands where NIST-traceable calibration is required.

Upon completion of calibration, instruments are issued a Certificate of Calibration / Certificate of Compliance, documenting traceability, test conditions, and measurement results appropriate for professional QA, regulatory, and audit documentation.

Quality Assurance Program

Spectra Light Laboratories operates a documented Quality Assurance Program designed to support the needs of manufacturing industries, calibration laboratories, and scientific research and development environments. The program is structured to align with recognized quality-system principles historically defined under MIL-STD-45662A and reflects continued efforts toward compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 requirements for calibration and measurement processes.

Our quality practices emphasize traceability, documented procedures, measurement control, and continuous improvement to support professional calibration, verification, and repair services in regulated and performance-critical applications.
